How do you build equipment in China without buying the factory?
You are probably wondering how we do this. The answer is simple. We use only 2-3 different factories to build many types of equipment. Because we are giving each of these factories several product lines to build, it also ensures that one of your main concerns of someone copying your design will be less of an issue. If any one of these factories were to copy yours or anyone else's equipment, we would pull all product lines from these factories causing them to lose 6 different lines of equipment, and not just one. We also try and use a factory that is not in your particular sector.
For example, we could use an aerospace manufacturer that has all of the engineering, fabrication, etc. for the aerospace industry, but they would have no interest in, say, the electronics industry. We also strive to maintain close relationships with all factories we use, making sure they have the stringent quality control and engineering you expect.
Our people in Shanghai will supervise the build and quality control of your equipment as it is being built. We'll also put you in direct contact with engineers in the factory so that you can feel comfortable that the job is being done to your specifications.We have done this in the past for several companies, and we will be happy to take you to a factory where we are currently building equipment.
The nicest benefit of doing it this way, is the fact that you have no overhead cost whatsoever. We will give you a firm price for each piece of equipment. When you get an order, you simply send a purchase order to us, and we will start building it for you. If times get slow, or you do not have an order for a couple of weeks, or even months for a particular line, you don't have to worry, we only charge you for the line we are currently building for you. |
How to get started?
- NDA (Non-Disclosure agreement) Built In China .com will sign a Non-Disclosure agreement to make sure you are confident that we will only discuss the details of your equipment with the people that "Need-to-Know" the details.
- You will provide us with detailed assembly drawings and sub-assembly drawings for the equipment to be built.
- If you need us to provide you with mold pricing for castings, or molded parts, we will also need detailed drawings for these parts as well. To give you an idea of the cost differences, a mold that you might pay $25-30K for in the USA or Europe can be made for as little as $2,500 in China. You could start out with US or European made molded parts for final assembly in China, but remember, the reason you came to us in the first place was to get your costs down.
- We will need a full and complete bill-of-materials for all assemblies and sub-assemblies. This will also include a material breakdown for all castings and or molded parts.
- We will then have our engineers go over all of the details to work out a cost structure for all parts.
Obviously, there are many more details to building your equipment than we've outlined here, but we do want to let you know that it doesn't have to be overly difficult or financially draining as one might think. We know this from experience as we have actually built factories in China and know first hand how time consuming, and costly this venture can be.
